Pittsboro, NC – While preparing to vote in the 2016 Presidential election, I discovered that:
1) The name, address, race, polling place, and voter registration status (yes, this person is registered to vote in this election) are all Easily available on line.
2) A picture ID, such as a driver’s license, is not required to vote in Chatham County.
These are the facts.
Now, if every voter was as honest and trust worthy as you and I these facts would be unimportant. However, since some voters may be less than honest, I think that it is reasonable to assume that some voters may cast more than one vote for their favorite candidate.
But, don’t take my word for it, prove it for yourself. If I can do it you can do it, and probably in a lot less time.
First, go to canivote.org and enter your own name and then the names of some of your family and friends.
Then, choose a few different popular American surnames, the most popular is Smith, but you can find a full list here.
Put together a short list of say four or five popular last names. Couple these with a very generic first name. I used Mary but, you can use Bob or Steve or whatever.
Then go to back to canivote.org and choose NC from the drop-down menu, type in a name on your list, and click.
You’ll see a list of all the people in NC with that name.
Click on those who are registered and live in Chatham County.
Write down their name, address, political party, and even who they voted for in past elections.
Do the same for the other names on your list being sure to write down their name and zip code very carefully.
And then just go down your list of names.
Click, enter, repeat.
Now all you need is each voter’s polling place.
So, go back to the Home Page and find Polling Place, it should be located right under the US map.
Enter the information to find each voter’s exact polling place.
That’s it.
Now, you too could vote multiple times, under multiple names, but of course you won’t.
