Chatham County Board of Health needs dentist representative

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Health will have a vacancy at the end of October 2015 that must be filled by a dentist who lives in the county. Applicants must have a current North Carolina dentistry license, but do not have to be actively practicing. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 28, 2015 at 5 pm.

Dental workThe Board of Health is the policy making, rule making and deliberative body for the Chatham County Public Health Department. The Board of Health’s responsibility is to protect and promote the health of the community.

The Board of Commissioners will make the appointment for a three-year term and the person would be eligible for two more terms.

Board of Health meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month, beginning at 6 pm, with dinner provided and reimbursement for mileage.
