Chatham residents can find out what really did happen in Benghazi

Pittsboro, NC – A former Army Ranger and national hero will relate what really happened in Benghazi.

“The Chatham County Republicans are kicking off the fall season with an exciting program,” says Brian Bock, Chatham GOP Chair.  The party will be hosting Kris Paronto, co-author of the best seller book, “13 HOURS: The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi” on Tuesday, October 6 from 7:30 until 9 pm at the Fearrington Barn in Fearrington Village Center (off 15/501) in Pittsboro.  Doors will open at 7 pm.

Kris ParontoKris will share the real story of the last hours of an American diplomatic outpost in one of the most dangerous corners of the globe. He’ll describe the bloody assault, tragic losses, and heroic deeds at the US State Department Special Mission Compound and at a nearby CIA base in Benghazi, Libya, from the night of September 11, 2012, into the morning of the next day. “Benghazi is back in the news, for many good reasons, and we’re eager to hear the full account,” says Bock. “Hasan Harnett, newly elected Chair of the North Carolina Republican Party, will also be with us.  He will provide an update about the party and will introduce Kris.  We’re really honored that Hasan will be with us.”

General admission is $30 per person and $25 for Veterans.  To reserve seats, please go to chathamncgop.com  or call Brian at 919-533-9807.  Kris will also be available to sign copies of *13 Hours* and these can be purchased that evening for $30.

Event Sponsors contributing $750 will receive admission for two, a private dinner preceding the event with Kris Paronto at The Granary in Fearrington Village, photos with Kris, a signed copy of *13 Hours*, and special recognition in the Program.  There are a limited number of sponsorships. “The funds raised from this event will assist Republican candidates running for county and state offices representing Chatham County in the 2016 election,” says John Palermo, Fundraising Chair.  “Sponsorships and seating will be limited, so we encourage people to contact us right away.  We are
very grateful to all our sponsors because they help cover our costs and promote the mission of the Chatham County Republican Party.”
