Bradyn Robinson is new Horton Middle School principal

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Education has approved Bradyn Robinson as the next principal of Horton Middle School. The school’s assistant principal since August 2017, Robinson emerged after an interview process that had representation from Horton’s teachers, PTA and alumni. Chatham County Schools administrators evaluated him, too.

“Mr. Robinson’s experience as a middle school teacher, along with his administrative work at Horton Middle School, will serve him well in his new role,” Superintendent Dr. Derrick D. Jordan said. “He is fully committed to the Wildcat Family and already has some solid ideas about how best to ensure the school’s work toward continuous improvement.”

It’s about developing the whole child, Robinson said.

“It is a privilege for me to be in this position, and I look forward to building on the school’s proud and historic past and moving forward to continue to create a school that prepares students to be strong independent learners and leaders in the 21st century,” Robinson said. “I am a firm believer that each of our students should be afforded the opportunity to grow as an individual in a school that celebrates their gifts, supports them through adversity and provides them with the skills necessary to be successful in an ever-changing society.”

Robinson began his new role on June 20.
