Pittsboro, NC – High school basketball fans will be able to see some top notch basketball played right here in Pittsboro during the Christmas holiday season. Northwood men’s basketball team will host their 2nd annual First Bank Charger Classic on December 20-23.
The teams participating in this year’s tournament include Apex High School (2-8), Apex Friendship (5-2), Brookland Cayce (6-2), Byrnes (6-2), Carrboro (4-4), Grace Christian (11-6), Union Pines (4-6), and Northwood (9-0).
The game schedule for day one of the tournament on December 20 is as follows:
- 1 pm Brookland Cayce vs Apex High School
- 3 pm Grace Christian School vs Union Pines High School
- 5 pm Apex Friendship vs Byrnes High School
- 7 pm Carrboro High School vs Northwood High School
Each team is guaranteed three games. The bottom team on the bracket will be the HOME team. The December 20 and 21 games will be scheduled for 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, and 7 pm. On the December 23, game times are 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. There will be a 10 minute halftime and a 10 minute warm-up prior to each start time. Warm-ups for the 1 pm games will begin at 12:50 pm.
