Raleigh, NC – NC State will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Carter-Finley Stadium as part of an action-packed seven-game home football schedule in 2016. According to the schedule released by the Atlantic Coast Conference office, the Wolfpack will play six bowl teams and four teams that finished the 2015 campaign ranked in the top 15, facing Notre Dame and Florida State at home.
NC State will open the season at home on Sept. 3 versus William & Mary and will close the 2016 regular season on Friday, Nov. 26, at UNC. On Oct. 8, State will mark the 50th anniversary of Carter-Finley Stadium by hosting Notre Dame for the first time. The Wolfpack played its first game in Carter-Finley on that same date in 1966.
Other nonconference games include a trip to East Carolina in week two, a home game against Old Dominion on September 17 and the October clash with the Fighting Irish.
In league action, Miami will travel to Raleigh for the first time since 2008 on November 19, while Atlantic Division rivals Wake Forest, Boston College and Florida State will also visit Carter-Finley. NC State will celebrate Homecoming on October 29 vs. BC.
Dave Doeren‘s squad will face Clemson, Louisville, Syracuse and UNC on the road. The game versus the Tar Heels will be played on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Further details on the 50th Anniversary Celebration, as well as dates for Parents & Families Weekend and Military Appreciation Day will be released at a later date, as will other promotions and incentives. All incentives will be retroactive to the date of purchase.
Season tickets are priced at $361 for the seven-game home schedule in 2016 with the price per game remaining the same as last season.
