Chatham’s Council on Aging director receives statewide award

Chatham’s Council on Aging Director Dennis Streets reports that he is rarely taken by surprise, but he was stunned on August 5, 2014 when colleagues honored him with the statewide Margaret Hart Hardee Preeminence in Aging Award. Sponsored by the North Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging, the award recognizes “an older adult whose grassroots advocacy and participation has influenced the public policy that supports, protects and empowers older adults.”
