Northwood baseball fundraiser at the Carolina Brewery

Pittsboro, NC – The Carolina Brewery is teaming up with the Northwood Chargers Baseball Boosters for a fundraiser Thursday June 16.  For anyone who dines at the Carolina Brewery for lunch or dinner on the 16th and mentions “Northwood Baseball”, ten percent of that sale will go to the Chargers Baseball Boosters Club.

The Chargers Baseball Boosters is currently in their fifth year of operation. Through fundraising, generous gifts from businesses and individuals, contributions of time and materials from contractors and suppliers, as well as many hours of our own volunteer time, the Charger Baseball Boosters have been able to make a number of significant improvements to the Northwood Baseball Complex.

As a result the young men in our school district have the resources they need to develop their skills, perform at a higher level and go on to become the best ball players they can be. The Northwood High School Baseball program has developed a rich tradition of success in its 40 years of existence.

Northwood took the Carolina 9 Conference Championship in 2010, posting an 18-8 record overall. Austin Brice, graduating class of 2010 was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 2010 draft and all of the other 2010 graduates have gone on to play baseball at the collegiate level.

So tell your friends, your neighbors and family members to come on out to the Carolina Brewery on Thursday June 16 and enjoy a great meal. Or sit in the bar area and catch a MLB game. Just remember to mention to your server that you are there to support the Northwood Baseball Boosters.
