Siler City, NC – The second seeded Chatham Charter Knights varsity baseball team (17-1) won Friday’s home playoff game against the 14th seeded Chatham Central Bears (15-8) by a score of 7-4.
In an intense county rivalry game, the Chatham Charter baseball team showcased their resilience as they rallied from an early deficit to defeat Chatham Central in the second round of the 1A state playoffs. The Knights, with a strong regular season record of 15-1, found themselves trailing by three runs in the opening innings. However, they managed to turn the game around and clinch a 7-4 victory, advancing to the third round of the NCHSAA 1A baseball tournament.
