Chapel Hill, NC – The NCHSAA Cross Country State Championships will be Saturday at Ivey Redmon Park in Kernersville. The coaches meeting for 1A & 3A Races is at 8:15 a.m. and the first race will go off at 9 a.m.

The Chatham Charter Knights men’s cross country team finished third in the regional meet held in Cary on Saturday, October 30 and qualified to run in the state meet at Ivey M. Redmon Park in Kernersville. McKoy was the top finisher in the East Regional race while Caleb Kolb finished in fifth place, leading their team to qualify. The other team members are Silas Christenbury, Thomas O’Hara, Landon Rakes, Colton Todd, Julian Todero. In the women’s meet, Meredith Reese finished in the top 15 runners and qualified for the women’s state meet. The team is coached by LaShawn LaFranque and Tina Rakes. The men’s 1A meet is at 9:00am, and the women’s 1A meet is at 10:20am. Admission will be $10.
