Just in time for Halloween: Chatham Conservation Partnership virtual meeting to focus on spiders

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham Conservation Partnership (CCP) fall meeting will be virtual…and just in time for Halloween, the focus will be on spiders!

Please join us on October 15, 2020, from 9–11 a.m. for this exciting opportunity to become better acquainted with our local arachnid neighbors.

North Carolina State University Entomologist Dr. Matt Bertone will be the featured speaker. In addition to his entomological expertise, Dr. Bertone is also a very talented photographer so participants are in for a treat when he shares his photos.

The meeting will take place via Zoom, and pre-registration is required. CCP meetings are free and open to the public (not just Chatham County residents).

Speaker Bio: Dr. Matt Bertone is an entomologist and the director of the NC State Plant Disease and Insect Clinic. As the entomology diagnostician he identifies insects and other arthropods, including pests, research organisms, and to answer general questions, for people all over NC and the world.
