45th Annual Old Fashioned Farmers’ Days is on for Labor Day weekend

by Silk Hope Ruritan Club

Silk Hope, NC – The 45th annual Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Days will take place this year on September 5 – 6. Gates will open on Saturday and Sunday at 9 am.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may notice we’re doing a few things differently this year. In place of an entrance fee, we are letting our guests pay what they can. We recommend a minimum donation of $5 to help support the Ruritan Club and the Silk Hope community, but we want to ensure that everyone has a chance to experience Old Fashioned Farmers’ Days, even in these difficult times.

While the situation is subject to change, we encourage our guests to stay
informed and follow all CDC and NCDHHS guidlines and recommendations,
including the three W’s:

  1. Wash your hands
  2. Wear a mask
  3. Wait six feet apart

In accordance with executive orders 141, 147, & 151, a cloth face mask is
required indoors at all times, and required outdoors when a distance of 6 feet from others is not possible. We also ask that our guests take steps to educate younger children on policies and procedures in order to ensure the safety of all our guests.

Most importantly, we ask all our guests to be respectful towards others. We
are doing everything we can to keep Old Fashioned Farmers’ Days as safe,
friendly, and fun as it has always been, but we can’t do it without you.

If you have any questions or concerns about health and safety, please email us. During the event our team at the administration building will be happy to answer any questions or direct you to relevant resources.
