Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will hold its work and regular sessions on Monday, July 20, 2020. The work session will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the regular session will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting will be at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center, 1192 US 64 Business West, Pittsboro.
Due to mass gathering restrictions and social distancing guidelines, seating will be limited to 40 or 50 members of the public. Please note that a face covering will be required in order to attend the meeting. For those who do not have a face covering, one will be supplied for them. Residents may also participate remotely via GoTo Webinar and can register at the following link.
Because this is a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners, there will be a public input session during the work session as well as the regular session. Residents may sign up to speak during the public input period by filling out the online form found here. The online form will be available until 2 p.m. on July 20. The Board of Commissioners allows for 30 minutes of public input at both the work and regular sessions. Residents are allowed to speak on any topic for up to three minutes each. Residents who sign up to speak in person will be heard first followed by residents on GoTo Webinar and then residents who submit commits via voicemail. Any resident who is not able to speak because of time will be allowed to submit their comments in writing to the Clerk to the Board, and their comments will be included in the official minutes of the meeting.
