Chatham County seeks Zoning Board of Adjustment applicants

Pittsboro, NC – Chatham County currently has one vacancy on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, which holds hearings and makes decisions for appeals and variances of county land use and development regulations. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020.

All applicants should live outside town limits, but they may live in the towns’ extraterritorial jurisdictions (called ETJs).

The open seat is designated for County Commissioner District 2, which is central to southwest Chatham County. The resident appointed to the vacancy will serve a three-year term expiring May 18, 2023.
