Pittsboro, NC – The Northwood varsity girls basketball team won Tuesday’s home conference game against East Chapel Hill by a score of 58-33. This was the last regular season conference game for the Lady Chargers.
With the win against East Chapel Hill, Northwood clinched the Big 8 Conference regular season basketball championship. This is the second Big 8 regular season championship and first since 2016. This is now the sixth regular season championship (1983, 1984, 2012, 2013, 2016 (co-champions), 2020) in program history.
The Lady Chargers overall record is 18-5 with a conference record of 12-1.
The Northwood varsity girls basketball team has an away non-conference game at Vance County on Friday, February 14 at 7:30 pm.
