Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Health has an upcoming vacancy that must be filled by a veterinarian who lives in the county.

Applicants must have a current license to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina. Interested veterinarians should submit applications no later than Friday, July 19, 2019, 5 PM.
The Board of Health is the policymaking, rulemaking and deliberative body for the Chatham County Public Health Department. The Board of Health’s responsibility is to protect and promote the health of the community.
The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will approve the appointment, which would initially serve until February 20, 2020 and then would be eligible for reappointment to a full three-year term.
Board of Health meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month, except July and December. Meeting begin at 6 pm, with dinner provided and reimbursement for mileage.
