Tristen Perlberg is the new principal Pollard Middle School

Pittsboro, N.C. — The Chatham County Board of Education approved Tristen Perlberg as principal at Margaret B. Pollard Middle School effective July 25, 2018. He enters the role with seven years of experience as a Chatham County Schools administrator.

Perlberg has been Pollard’s assistant principal for the past four years. Prior to that, he served as assistant principal at Chatham Middle School for two years after completing an administrative internship at Pollard.

“I have been fortunate to serve as an intern, assistant principal and now principal at Margaret B. Pollard,” Perlberg said. “I am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff and great community as we continue to focus on the needs of each student and the growth on the horizon.”

Before serving in the district, Perlberg taught science at the high school level in Durham. He has an undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University. Perlberg earned a master’s degree in school administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Away from school, Perlberg said he enjoys running, hiking, golfing, exploring new places and keeping up with Detroit sports.
