Moncure, NC – On March 16, Chatham County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a search of a residence located at 7356 Pittsboro Moncure Road, Moncure. The residence was occupied by suspected drug supplier Kelvin Rondell Dowdy, 53, and yielded nearly 34 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine as well as individually wrapped baggies of marijuana.
Dowdy was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Dowdy was assigned a $130,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on March 26.
