Pittsboro man faces drug charges

Pittsboro, NC – A Chatham County man was found with more than 68 grams of several drugs after a search and seizure Thursday.

drug chargesChatham County Sheriff personnel searched Donyelle “Chubbs” Partridge’s residence — at 4440 Old Graham Road — after executing a search warrant on the premises. Officers seized 16.5 grams of crack cocaine, 28 grams of marijuana, 17.74 grams of opiates, 6.64 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and more than $3,000.

The 34-year old was charged with trafficking opiates, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, two counts of simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a place or dwelling for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a statement, Chatham County Sheriff Mike Roberson applauded his deputies for their hard work.

“I commend my staff on their teamwork and investigative skills,” he said. “I also want to encourage any citizen who is concerned over potential criminal activity in his or her neighborhood to contact the Sheriff’s Office with more information. Community safety is a responsibility we all share, and we value citizen participation in safeguarding the welfare of Chatham County.”

Partridge is being held on a $300,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County Court on Aug. 22.
