Siler City, NC — A Siler City man has been arrested on numerous drug charges after police discovered a wide range of drugs and weapons at his residence, according to a news release.
On July 27, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit recovered the drugs and weapons from 1001 Cambridge St., Siler City. Investigators initially responded to the address to serve a warrant on Fernando Rodriguez, 19, who was wanted for failure to appear in court on felony drug-related charges but was not at home when investigators arrived.
Investigators obtained a search warrant to enter the residence and discovered two rifles, two shotguns, ammunition, 10 grams of marijuana, 27.7 grams of methamphetamine, and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Rodriguez was located and charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/place/dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rodriguez is being held on a $12,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22.
