Chatham seeks new applicants for Transportation Advisory Committee

Pittsboro, NC – Are you interested in transportation issues around Chatham County? You can learn about and help shape recommendations on transportation issues by serving on the county’s Transportation Advisory Committee. The committee has three vacancies and the deadline to apply is Friday, June 10, 2016.

The committee identifies and studies transportation issues and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners.  Members are appointed by the county commissioners.

Chatham TransitThe committee especially needs members with an interest or expertise in one or more of the following areas: freight/commercial transport (including agricultural), non-motorized travel, public transportation, and public safety (including emergency responders and law enforcement).  They also would like to have more representation from western and southeastern Chatham.
