Chatham Empty Bowls fundraiser set for April 24 at Hanks Chapel in Pittsboro

Pittsboro, NC – The seventh annual Chatham Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit CORA Food Pantry is Sunday, April 24 at Hank’s Chapel Fellowship Hall in Pittsboro. The event features beautiful local pottery, a light supper of delicious soup and bread from local restaurants and bakeries, live entertainment, light hors d’oeuvres, and a variety of desserts. Your participation helps CORA Food Pantry feed hungry residents from all over Chatham County.

Chatham Empty Bowls Fundraiser When: Sunday, April 24, 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Where: Hanks Chapel Fellowship Hall, 125 Hanks Loop Rd, Pittsboro

Take 64 East (East St.) to Hank’s Chapel Road.  From Hanks Chapel Road turn right on Hanks Loop Rd.

Tickets: $30 in advance, $35 at the door for “The Works” (Handcrafted Bowl, Unlimited Soup, hors d’oeuvres, beverage and dessert). Food and Beverage only is $15 per person, Kids under 12 – $5 (food only).  Ticket sales dates TBA (will be posted on the website: www.corafoodpantry.org)

Chatham Empty BowlsThe Local Pottery is the highlight of the event. The ticket for “The Works” include a locally handcrafted bowl of the buyer’s choice to treasure and use at home. Potters from all over the Triangle are contributing bowls to the event.

Popular local eateries provide soup. Vegan and vegetarian soup options will be available. A crew of bakers from Fearrington Village are providing fresh home-baked breads. Admission also includes light hors d’oeuvres and a variety of homemade desserts.

All ticket proceeds go to CORA Food Pantry, which provides a week’s worth of food for individuals and families in crisis in Chatham County.
