The game will be played at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts and will be broadcast nationally on CBS (WBZ 4 – Boston).
The Patriots earned a bye to this round, courtesy of their No. 2 seed and a 12-4 regular season record.
The Chiefs earned a bye to this round after beating the Houston Texans on the road last week, 30-0.
This is the second time a Bill Belichick-coached team has met an Andy Reid-coached team in the playoffs as the Patriots edged the Eagles, 24-21, in Super Bowl XXXIX
