New Chatham County Ag & Conference Center unveils logo

Pittsboro, NC – With the new Chatham County Agriculture & Conference under construction, work is well underway to promote the new facility as the largest meeting and expo site in the county. A new logo for the facility was unveiled this week.

Chatham Ag & Conference Center LogoS&A Communications in Cary developed the logo with input from county staff over several weeks. “The goal is to reflect an image that pays tribute to our vibrant agricultural economy, but also that the center is a modern facility that welcomes all types of events” said Neha Shah, director of the Pittsboro-Siler City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).

Shah added, “We were trying to find linkages between the Chatham County government logo and the CVB logo, such as the usage of blue and green, but we want the conference center’s logo to have its distinctive identity.”

The design also draws from key architectural features of the new building, including a crosshatch element on the exterior that is reminiscent of barn doors.  The green arcs of the logo reflect the furrows of farmland.

The countywide CVB is overseeing the marketing of the conference center.  The logo will be used on all conference center documents as well as an upcoming website and social media. Follow the Chatham County Ag & Conference Center on Facebook or on Twitter at @ChathamMeetings

“We continue to make great progress with the construction of the conference center and are working hard behind the scenes to be prepared.  We welcome inquiries about the facility, but are still working on policies and fees while construction is underway,” said Shah.
