Chelsea Marie Gardner of Pittsboro has been awarded a N.C. State University Park Scholarship. She is the senior class president at Northwood High School, where she is also a varsity cheerleader and member of the National Honor Society. She volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and is a graduate of the N.C. Governor’s School. Chelsea, daughter of Charles and Saundra Gardner, plans to major in communications.
