Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine that focuses on creating balance and harmony within the body, mind, and spirit. One of the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda is the doshas; three energy forces with different characteristics found in ourselves and all of nature. These doshas are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Leaf-scuttling winds mark the start of vata season, which ayurveda characterizes as light, dry, rough, hard, mobile, irregular, cool—the very qualities we associate with fall. Vata is the queen of change, so you’ll need to watch out for dry skin, irregular digestion, and frenetic, unpredictable energy which can easily leave you depleted, overwhelmed, and distracted.
In this workshop we’ll honor this time of change with a restorative yoga practice, breathwork and meditation. We will also dig into other ways to balance vata with food, crystals, mudras, and essential oils. This workshop is for everyone who is seeking peace and equanimity.
Melissa Russell is a certified yoga therapist; a 500 hour registered yoga teacher trained in ashtanga, anusara, Ayurveda, and pelvic floor health; and an iRest level 2 meditation teacher.

#tongueouttuesday At Carolina Tiger Rescue, we believe in providing our wild rescues with the most natural and nutritious diet possible. That's why we've chosen to feed them a whole carcass diet, closely mimicking what they'd consume in the wild.
🍖 Whole Carcass Diet:
All of our carnivores are given whole carcasses as part of their diet. This practice not only ensures they receive the essential nutrients they need but also keeps their instincts sharp as they dissect their meals, just like they would in their natural habitat. 🌍🐾
🦌 Deer Donations:
During hunting season, we do accept deer donations from the community. These donations are a huge help to us. They feed our cats and reduce waste by utilizing locally sourced food. It's a win-win for our community and our residents.
Your support makes a world of difference! By embracing these practices, we're not just feeding our cats; we're helping them stay in touch with their wild instincts and provide them with the best possible care. Thank you for being a part of our mission to protect and preserve these incredible creatures!
