Pittsboro, NC – On May 12 and May 13, 2020 the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of numerous motor vehicle break-ins. Investigators responded both days and processed multiple vehicles for fingerprints. Investigators also recovered surveillance video of the suspect and suspect vehicle. The fingerprints identified the suspect at Tarik Jihad Greene of Manassas, Virginia.

He is described as a black male, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds with black shoulder-length dreadlocks and brown eyes.
In 2018, Tarik Jihad Greene was arrested for allegedly attacking a woman and taking the victim’s car with her 18-month-old child sitting in the backseat in Woodbridge, Virginia. He was charged with abduction, domestic assault and battery, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, according to Prince William County Police.
Further information obtained by Investigators linked Greene to the area and the crimes that occurred. Warrants for Greene’s arrest were issued on May 20, 2020.
