3,989 votes cast in Chatham County primary election early voting as of May 4

Pittsboro, NC – Early voting has been going on in Chatham County since April 19. Early voting will end on Saturday, May 5 at 2 pm. As of Thursday, May 3, 3,989 Chatham County voters have cast their vote. Primary election day will take place on Tuesday, May 8. Chatham County polling places will be open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.

2,618 Democrats and 1,371 Unaffiliated voters have cast votes.

2,233 women and 1,693 men cast votes. The largest group of voters ranged in age from 67 to 71 years old.

Approximately 2,400 early voters come from the Pittsboro and northeast Chatham election precincts

The majority of early election votes have been cast at the Board of Elections location in Pittsboro.
