Chatham County offers four early voting locations for 2018 primary

Pittsboro, NC – The Chatham County Board of Elections reminds voters that early voting for the 2018 primary election on May 8, 2018 is underway. Early voting will end on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2 PM.

*         Chatham County Board of Elections Office, 984-DThompson Street, Pittsboro. This is located behind the Hwy 55 Burgers Restaurant on the east side of Pittsboro.

*         Northeast District Park, 5408 Big Woods Road on the west side of jordan Lake. Look for a white park entry sign. If coming from US 64, turn on Big Woods Road and go 5.4 miles to the park, which will be on the right. If coming from US 15-501, take Jack Bennett Road to Big Woods Road.  Take a right on Big Woods and the park will be on your left in a mile.

*         Earl Fitts Community Center, 111 S Third Avenue, Siler City. It is across the street from the Masonic Lodge.

*         Goldston Town Hall (NOTE: this site does not open until April 30, 2018), 40-A Coral Avenue, Goldston.  From Main Street in Goldston, turn on Coral Avenue and go over the railroad tracks. The building will be almost immediately on the right.

The Board of Elections reminds residents that it is too late to register to vote or change your registration for the 2018 Primary, except that same day registration is available at each early voting site. You must have lived in Chatham County 30 days or more to be eligible to register and vote.  Also, you must bring documents showing proof of Identification and proof of residency.
