Pittsboro, NC – Are you looking for a meaningful way to help our community? Maybe make a few new friends? How about making a huge difference in someone’s life?
The Chatham County Literacy Council (Chatham Literacy) has made helped more than 400 adults in Chatham County by tutoring language skills. Presently we have volunteer needs for tutors and proctors.
As a proctor you would be valued as an occasional test administrator. As a tutor you would provide one hour of assistance or instruction in reading, writing, basic math, English as a Second Language learning, GED preparation, citizenship preparation and/or computer literacy one or two days a week.
Chatham Literacy would like you to consider becoming a tutor or proctor for our organization. We are hosting three one hour volunteer orientations.
Two on Tuesday, January 5. At 10 am and 6:15 pm in the Double Study in the Pittsboro Library.
On Wednesday, January 6 at 10 am at Carolina Meadows in the Board Room.
