2015 Internet Cat Video Festival coming to Pittsboro on October 4

Pittsboro, NC – Chatham Animal Rescue and Education (CARE) is turning 40 this year. To celebrate, we’re throwing a giant, family-friendly party on Sunday, October 4 at the Pittsboro Roadhouse from 4-8 pm. Everyone is invited. Part of the festivities will include the 2015 Internet Cat Video Festival.

Internet Cat Video FestivalThe Internet Cat Video Festival, produced and curated by the Walker Art Center, is a compilation of those addictive Internet videos starring fabulous felines like Grumpy Cat and Henri le Chat Noir. The Festival began in 2012 and has since become popular across the US and around the world. The showing in Pittsboro will be the only one in North Carolina.

An optional pasta buffet, a 50/50 raffle, a cupcake decorating contest, and door prizes are also part of the day’s activities. Proceeds benefit CARE’s programs and services. Purchase and wear a special commemorative t-shirt to the party and receive a free 50/50 raffle ticket. CARE is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that promotes responsible pet ownership by educating the community and offering targeted spay/neuter programs.
