Pittsboro, NC – During its June 30, 2015 meeting, the Chatham County Board of Education approved Carla Murray as the new principal of North Chatham Elementary School, effective August 1. Murray currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Siler City Elementary. She will be replacing Dale Minge, who will retire at the end of July.

She then pursued a degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and participated in Future Ready Leadership training during the 2014-2015 school year. Murray shares, “I am honored and excited to continue my work with students in Chatham County Schools. I look forward to joining all stakeholders as we continue to expand on the great initiatives begun already and reach new levels of success.”
Chatham County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Derrick D. Jordan, remarks, “Mrs. Murray’s expertise with curriculum and instruction will serve her well as she works to lead North Chatham Elementary to the next level of achievement for all students.”
