Child sexual abuse prevention training on July 22

Pittsboro, NC – Pittsboro Presbyterian Church is continuing to hosting sessions of Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children. These classes are sponsored by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA Darkness to Light initiative.

Stewards of Children TrainingThe award-winning child sexual abuse prevention program, Stewards of Children, is a two-hour training designed to educate adults on how to recognize, prevent, and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse, emphasizing child safety as every adult’s responsibility.

The upcoming training session is held at Pittsboro Presbyterian Church, located at 95 East St. in Pittsboro on Wednesday, July 22 from 6:00-8:00PM.

D2L Participants: Upcoming Community Darkness 2 Light Trainings July/August
The YMCA of the Triangle, in collaboration with several other community partners, is helping to put an end to child sexual abuse by implementing a comprehensive child protection program. We plan to start by offering Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children Trainings to members of the community that care about the health and safety of children and the prevention of the long-term negative effects of childhood trauma and sexual abuse.  Who do you know that would be interested in participating in this initiative to end child sexual abuse in our community?
