Northwood High School presents “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” this weekend

The kids from Northwood will be heading back to the 60s once again this year for their annual Spring Musical. But instead of dancing in Baltimore in Hairspray, they’ll be climbing the corporate ladder when they present Frank Loesser’s 1961 classic satire, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

McIntyre’s Books hosts David Downing on May 27

In a rare stateside visit, British mystery author David Downing kicks off his 10 city American book tour at McIntyre’s Books on Saturday, May 24 at 11am to read from his latest novel, Jack of Spies. Set in 1913, it is a time when those who follow the news closely can see the world is teetering on the brink of war. Jack McColl, a Scottish car salesman with an uncanny ear for languages, has always hoped to make a job for himself as a spy.

Fearrington’s annual Folk Art Show is this weekend

One of Fearrington Village’s most popular community events of the year will take place on February 22 and & 23 from 10 am to 5 pm. More than 35 folk artists from throughout the South will convene at the big barn at Fearrington Village once again in 2014. They’ll turn every square foot of the structure into exhibition space for marvelous outsider art.
