PEELER: Glennon To Make Most of Opportunity
Sophomore quarterback Mike Glennon will get practically all of the repetitions with the first-team offense as the Wolfpack begins spring practice today. The month-long drills will culminate with the second-annual Kay Yow Spring Game on April 17 at Carter-Finley Stadium.

Spring Football Outlook
The theme for NC State spring football this year, and every year under head coach Tom O'Brien, is "Back to Basics." O'Brien and his staff use the 15 practices they are allotted during the spring to help each individual player get better.
lt;br /> "As individuals improve, the team improves," says O'Brien, who is entering his fourth season at the helm of the Wolfpack. "We will spend a great deal of time working on the fundamentals of football because we have to be a much better team fundamentally than we were a year ago."

Pack Places Three on ACC All-Academic Football Squad
Three members of the Wolfpack football squad were named to the 2009 ACC All-Academic Football Team, which was announced today by the league office. Offensive lineman Andy Barbee, safety Bobby Floyd and quarterback Russell Wilson were each honored for posting a grade point average of 3.00 or higher for the fall semester and for their academic careers.

Tenuta Joins Football Coaching Staff
NC State head football coach Tom O'Brien announced today that Jon Tenuta has joined the Wolfpack staff and will serve as linebackers coach, replacing Andy McCollum, who took another job on Tuesday. Tenuta brings 29 years of experience as a coach and 16 as a defensive coordinator, most recently at Notre Dame.

Football Schedule Released by ACC
NC State will face the defending champions from three different conferences in 2010 according to the schedule that was announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Wolfpack will play host to defending Big East Champion Cincinnati, and travel to defending ACC champ Georgia Tech and Conference USA champ East Carolina.

Wolfpack Inks 19 in 2010 Class
Nineteen student-athletes have signed letters of intent to join the Wolfpack football squad for the 2010 season, head coach Tom O'Brien announced today. Four other newcomers, including two freshmen and two transfers, enrolled at NC State in January and will go through 2010 spring drills with the team.

Student-Athletes to be Recognized at Freshman Honors Convocation
Four members of the Wolfpack football squad have been invited to attend NC State's 2010 Freshman Honors Convocation on January 25. This event recognizes first-year African American, Native American and Hispanic students who achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in their first semester.

Baker to Forego Final Season of Eligibility
Wolfpack halfback Toney Baker, who was granted a sixth-year of eligibility by the NCAA, has decided not to return to NC State for the 2010 season. The recipient of the ACC's 2009 Brian Piccolo Award as the league's "most courageous" player, Baker graduated in December.

NC State offensive coordinator Dana Bible was released from the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center on Friday evening and was told Tuesday afternoon that his leukemia is in remission.
