Dante Calabria to lead basketball clinic at Northwood on July 23 & 24

Pittsboro, NC – Former UNC basketball player Dante Calabria will lead a Score Basketball clinic at Northwood High School on July 23 and 24. The clinic is being sponsored by the NHSBFAA.

Dante CalabriaThis clinic will be conducted by former University of North Carolina National Champion Dante Calabria. Dante Calabria played for seasons under Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina and was a member of the 1993 National Championship team. He was statistically one of the best 3-point shooters during his time in the ACC. Calabria went on to play overseas for a number of years and returned to a coaching career in the United States.

Organized by the Northwood High School Boosters, Friends and Alumni Association, the July clinic costs $115. (Siblings of a registrant receive a $20 discount.)

Other camps this month at Northwood High School include:

Soccer: July 11-15, from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening. It’s for kids heading into grades 1-8.

Volleyball: July 25-27, from 9 a.m. to noon, for girls rising to grades 5-12.

Cheerleading: July 26-28, from 6 to 8 pm each night, at Brier Chapel Park, located at 1015 Andrew Store Rd.
