Siler City announces voluntary water restrictions

The town of Siler City announced voluntary water restrictions as of 10 am Monday morning. The restrictions are due to reduced water storage levels during the extended drought. The available water remaining in storage in the Town’s reservoirs has fallen below 70-percent. Voluntary conservation efforts will help the Town maintain an adequate water supply. All water system users are requested to voluntarily reduce their consumption by 10-percent by taking conservation measures that include the following:
